Operatives of Anambra State police command have arrested two female suspects over a missing sixteen year old girl, Miss Oluebube Chukwuma in Ozubulu in Ekwusigo LGA of the State.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, Tochukwu Ikenga (SP) revealed this in a press statement.
He said that operatives attached to Ozubulu Division, acting on a technologically driven information on Monday arrested the two female suspects.
The suspects according to the PPRO are Uzoma Nwabueze and Precious Monday.
He said that the suspects have confessed to being involved in the disappearance of the minor and disclosed that the victim is currently in Ghana.
Meanwhile, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu(CP) has directed immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Awka, for discreet and comprehensive investigation.
This the CP noted is to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the relocation of the girl and identify any other persons involved in the matter.
