2023: Group declares no election in South East

From Ifeoma Ejiofor

Factional Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared that the 2023 general elections would not hold in Anambra State and other South East States.

The group in an in signed message circulated over the weekend claimed that they are members of IPOB and that Ndigbo will not have anything to do with the election being organized by Nigeria which the group said is a zoo country.

They warned all the South Eastern politicians contesting in the forth coming 2023 elections to perish the idea.

“Ndigbo has nothing to with the election, those who are contesting anything from presidency and other offices should quit immediately.

“We are not going to allow such election to hold ‘naalaigbo’ if Mr Peter Obi is contesting or not is not our business but the election will not hold in our land.” The group asserted.

In a sharp reaction to the development, the Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful has dissociated the pro Biafra association from the circulated statement.

He said as a matter of fact that IPOB has nothing to do with the group and statement made by the unknown group.
