2027: Ukachukwu urges APC stakeholders to invest in party

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 8, 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, Nicholas Ukachukwu, has urged members of the party to work for its growth in the state.

Ukachukwu told members and stakeholders of the party that there was a need to strengthen the party in the state, especially as the 2027 general elections draw near.

“Election is coming and we must win”, he reminded the party faithful, while making it clear to them that those who refuse to sow in the party should not expect to reap when it’s time to do so.

“You don’t have to put money in if you don’t have one. If you don’t have money, you should do the leg work involved. Those who bring money and those who do the leg work are making contributions. This is because money cannot do the leg work involved.

“However, you must know that if you don’t invest, you cannot reap. You should contribute whatever you have to move this party forward,” he told the party faithful. Ukachukwu particularly encouraged the APC’s stakeholders at the ward levels to work for the growth of the party, saying that their contributions are needed to move the party forward.

“If the highest ranking party person in your local government is not part of your stakeholders’ meeting, what kind of stakeholder is that one?” he queried.

The 2025 governorship candidate described as laughable, the insinuations that he was planning to dump the APC for another party.

“I am in this APC to stay. I am not going anywhere. People have been speaking, talking here and there. But I am here for us to build this party. And we must build it. We joined APC not to remove those that were there. We joined APC to strengthen it and make it better. That’s why we are here. So, respect the party hierarchy.

“APC must be better than what it is. And for that to happen, we must be decisive in our decisions. It doesn’t matter whose ox is gored. If you are not part of those working to make things better in this party, then you are part of those destroying it. So, let’s work together to achieve the best,” he appealed.
