Ahead the November 8, Anambra State governorship election, the guber aspiration of Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of All Progressives Congress (APC) got a boost as he harvested decampees from All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Prince Ukachukwu popularly called Ikukuoma received the APGA decampees during his thank you tour to Onitsha North and Onitsha South LGAs.
The campaign train of the APC guber candidate anchored at Umuezechime Primary School and Central School Odoakpu for Onitsha North and Onitsha South respectively.
Hon Chuka Onyekwe while speaking at the occasion revealed that many members of APGA have left the fold because of the failure of Gov Charles Soludo to build members and officials of the party.
He said that it is only normal for the members of APGA who are not happy with the use and dump attitude of the government of the day to seek consolation in Ikukuoma and his Wind of Glory.
Hon Onyekwe described Prince Ukachukwu and his running mate, Iyom Sen Uche Ekwunife as God sent to redeem the people of Anambra from political captivity.
He expressed optimism that the duo of Ikukuoma and Iyom Ekwunife will bring a brand new era to people Ndi-Anambra and residents alike.
Also speaking, Hon Amene Joe at Onitsha North LGA said that the are people that enthroned Gov Soludo three years ago.
He pointed out that Soludo has demonstrated unprecedented neglect of Onitsha people.
“Drive round the length and breadth of Onitsha, the dilapidated condition of our roads will shock you, this kind of selective discrimination has never been experienced in Onitsha,” he said.
Bishop Emeka Nwamkpa, on his part said that ikukuoma governorship is Spiritually inspired noting that and spiritual things cannot be understood by humans who are not spiritually inclined.
He noted that ikukuoma is a man of God who has the capacity and capability to take the people of Anambra and Anambra State to greater heights.
Former Bridge Head Ward 1, Hon Ezeokoye lzuchukwu, while thanking God for the candidature of Ikukuoma and Iyom Ekwunife said emphatically that Ndi-Anambra are no longer proud of Gov Soludo and his APGA.
He pointed out that Gov Soludo has actually abandoned the real APGA members and stakeholders who helped him attained power.
in their separate speeches, Prince Ukachukwu and Iyom Ekwunife thanked the people of Onitsha North and Onitsha South LGAs for turning out in their good numbers to receive the Wind of Glory train.
Ikukuoma assured them of quality, responsible and responsive administration which would take Anambra State to her enviable heights.
