TAF Africa has concluded her training workshop for observers who will participate in the November 8, Anambra State governorship election.
Also trained are media practitioners who are expected to cover and report proceedings on the election day.
Senior Communication Officer for TAF Africa, Lynn Aguncha while presenting an overview of the organization’s election inclusive strategy under EU-SDGN 11 program, said that no one is expected to be left behind during the polls.
She pointed out that TAF Africa is out to ensure that people with disability are carried along during Anambra governorship election and all other elections across the country.
Lynn Aguncha recalled with relish the success stories of TAF Africa over the years even as she warned all the persons recruiter by the organization as observers to be above board.
“Your responsibility is that of an observer, we are not sending you there to go and fight, or be involved in votes buying or selling, please if you want to do that for your selfish interest, kindly remove our shirts and caps, we have a name to protect,” she said.
George Anwayi, Senior Program Officer for TAF Africa, Jachimike Odibo, IT consultant for the organization and others presented papers during the training workshop.
TAF Africa has engaged and embarked on the training of observers that would cover the three senatorial zones in Anambra State during the guber polls.
