“Education they say is a passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for
it today”…Malcolm X
The above sentiment by Malcolm X remains the focus of Uzo Nwosu, who, on the 6th of February 2022, added new beneficiaries to the stream of scholars who have been benefiting from his scheme.
Success Chibuzo Oformata from Inyaba Umudim, a student of Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli , Anambra state and Nneoma Ewim of Regina Pacis Secondary School Onitsha from Umuemem Otolo Nnewi are the newest awardees of the scheme.
Engr Nwosu has over one hundred students who are beneficiaries of the scholarship scheme.
Engr Ethelbert Uzodimma Nwosu, popularly known as Comrade Uzo, is a genius when it comes to human capital development. He chooses to continue building and equipping individuals for tomorrow by preparing them through education.
Recall that Comrade Uzo Nwosu through his NGO named ” REALITY FORUM,” had lifted many individuals to better life. The concentrates the bulk of his investment on the less privileged by offsetting their medical bills, setting up businesses for the youths by making soft loans available to them.
The scholarship schemes are scattered across the country, and some of the beneficiaries have graduated from the universities.
It is worthy to note that Engr Nwosu hails from Ndi-Ogbe, Umuenem, Otolo, Nnewi, in Nnewi North local government area, Anambra state. He had a very humble beginning in life.
Uzo is a delight in services to humanity. He will often say: “I, Uzo Nwosu is a VALUE bag NOT a money bag.”
One thing about Comrade Uzo Nwosu is his unquenchable desire to help in lifting others irrespective of tribe, religion, or political affiliations.
Uzo Nwosu’s favorite qoutes is:
“Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance,” and as such, he makes sure that people around him have accesses to quality education.
The above philosophy spurred him to build, equip, and furnish Azigbo central school in Nnewi South LGA, Anambra State.
He believes that availing one access to quality education is nipping potential calamity in the nearest future at its bud. He cherishes the words of Victor Hugo who said that “He who opens a school door, closes the prison door.”
A member of the Forum said: “I call on well-meaning and well-to-do individuals to help curb the rising insecurity in our society through the education tools.
