The TempleGate Foundation’s primary focus is fighting poverty through providing skills competency and devising new ways to expand the skill opportunities that would help the beneficiaries to address the current needs of the communities.
Templegate Empowerment Foundation is concerned about the state of affairs regarding the economic situation of the country and the way it impacts the people, particularly the youths. These concerns are the passion that drives the foundation.
Nigeria is at a crossroads, so far heading in the wrong direction with its macroeconomic policies never getting any traction towards arresting the dire economic malaise which has the country in a stranglehold.
The fall-out from the poor economic state has affected the youths in the worst way, coupled with several burning socio-economic issues hitting directly at their ability to ascend the economic ladder.
Consequently, these vices have led to a total breakdown of the societal fabric that pulls the youths in the right development direction. Several social vices have ensnared these youths and held them down from contributing positively to the common aspiration of a progressive society.
The criminality has gained the upper hand in their lives, and they are more committed to admiring criminal figures and those whose sources of livelihood are suspect at the least. The youths have succumbed to violent crimes, drug addictions, cultism, prostitution, etc. In their wayward pursuit of the wrong ideas, they shun apprenticeship, education, and vocational training.
In the midst of all these, a nongovernment organization has been campaigning in practical ways to redirect the perspective of these youths back to the track of positive development. The TEMPLEGATE EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION has, through various training programs, restored some of these youths to become productive members of the community.
Tonia Okoli anchors the NGO through which these human restoration programs are promoted. On her own, she is a very resourceful lady that has acquired a lot of skills through constant training. Above all, she is a natural leader with an eye to broadening the area of skills available to the beneficiaries of the Templegate Empowerments Foundation.
Tonia Okoli recognizes that the three tiers of governments are not capable of creating employment for men, women, and youths believe that an open training fair would benefit the communities better through reinvigorating economic activities. Hence, she and her team have slated April 23rd, 2022, for the training titled: Nnewi Talent and Exhibition 2022
