Unknown gunmen attacked police post at Isuofia, the home town of the newly sworn in governor of Anambra state.
Initial report which spread various social media platform claimed that one of the policemen on duty was gunned down by the criminals, and others received grave wounds.
The police had since given update concerning the attack, and acknowledged to the public that three policemen sustained injuries from the attack. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, emphatically denied to Vision Newspapers that any police officer was killed, or died from the wound they sustained.
