On a sunny Tuesday morning of 3rd May 2022, which was a Ramadan public holiday, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Ugboaja (Ochinanwata), took off to Nnewi after he was constrained from completing his journey on Monday due to the usual ‘sit-at-home’ malady still subsisting in Anambra state.
To make up for the previous day’s loss of activities, Dr. Ugboaja was up as early as 3 am on Tuesday and alerted his team of the proposed tour of the site.
Dr. Ugboaja and his team made it to Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto’s palatial residence on schedule. “Omekannaya, was ready and expecting them as Chief Ibeto is known for being very punctual with appointments,” Dr. Ugboaja said.
Dr. Ugboaja intimated everyone that “Omekannaya has always treated him in a special way, and he in turn, sees Chief Dr. Ibeto as a father, who is always available to advise him.” .
At the permanent site, the entourage drove straight to a huge expanse of land reserved for the construction of a multi-billion ultramodern diagnostic and cancer treatment center.
Dr Ibeto took time to inspect the site and assured the CMD and his team that he will commence construction very soon at the designated site.
From there, the entourage moved to inspect the several edifices under construction at the permanent site. The Nigeria’s foremost industrialist could not hide his excitement at what has taken place at the permanent site. Chief Ibeto was amazed that Dr. Ugboaja could record such enormous success just few months into his tenure.
Chief Ibeto was shown several other completed projects such as massive, Ultramodern Emergency Department, the Medical and Surgical wings, and the 20 bedded ICU.
Chief ibeto also inspected the massive Renal Complex designed to function as a regional center for kidney treatment housing over 50 dialysis machines. He also inspected the imposing Eye And Trauma care centre, the VIP clinic.

The visit to the site was quite engaging as the brilliant Chief Ibeto has mastery of construction, hence, commended on the quality of the paved roads at the site, and generally, all the construction.
Some of the top management staff of the hospital that participated in the tour include the Deputy Director of Personnel, Mrs. Uche Ugochukwu, and the Head of Works, Engr Mrs. Ohanaja Pamela. The members of Ochinanwata support group led by the President, Mr Kelechi Egbula were on ground to ensure that the event was well coordinated.
Dr Ugboaja used the opportunity to call on other public spirited individuals and organizations in the state to join hands with the hospital Management to ensure the realization of this vision.
He praised the NAUTH Staff for their gallantry, passion and commitment towards the permanent site project and assured that he will always carter for their welfare needs.
Chief Cletus Ibeto invited the entire entourage back to his residence for a lunch feast. He was so impressed that the tour will continue tomorrow.
