A budding politician and cleric, Dr. Solomon Uchenna Wining has picked the presidential expression of interest/nomination forms from the National Headquarters of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), with a promise to rescue Nigeria from the shackles of man-made-hardship if elected the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, in the forthcoming general elections.
Dr Wining, who was led to the NRM National Secretariat at Abuja by a large number of his supporters said that he joined the National Rescue Movement(NRM) because the manifesto of the party was in line with his personal vision and ideology, adding that he was deeply committed to an ambition to provide answers to most the Nation’s socio-economic and political problems.
The Presidential hopeful advised members of the party and Nigerian youths across the country to identify with the NRM and his aspiration, ‘as one of their own’ in order to ‘take what rightly belongs to them’
He disclosed that he had taken time to study the issues confronting Nigeria as a nation and that as the youngest person in the current presidential race, he would use his energy, knowledge and vast worldview to provide solutions to the country’s vexed issues, including insecurity, youth restiveness, unemployment, industrial unrest, corruption,and separatist agitations across the county.
“Nigeria at this point in time needs someone who understands the problem of the country and the solution to the problems. I have offered myself to rescue the nation from the problems of insecurity, high level of poverty, economic degradation, inefficient power sector, weak currency, amongst others”. Dr. Solomon Uchenna Wining stated.
He advised the electorate to identify with National Rescue Movement (NRM) and urged the youth, women, artisans, academicians, labour unions, and indeed all Nigerians to come out en-mass during the next election and vote out those responsible for the misfortune of the ‘youth, who are the leaders of tomorrow.
Dr. Solomon Uchenna Wining said that the time to rescue Nigeria was now and that he had what it takes adding that the National Rescue Movement, NRM was the right platform for achieving the dream of a new Nigeria.
The NRM national chairman, Hon. Benson Chigozie Umeh while welcoming the presidential hopeful thanked him for identifying with the party and, described his mission as timely and a script written by God even as he charged the youths to see the National Rescue Movement, NRM as the alternative to addressing the challenge(s) facing the nation.
