Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam Initiative for Education (JAMIE) recorded another milestone as it held her 2022 scholarship examination.
One hundred and twenty students drawn from across Senior Secondary Schools in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State participated in the examination, which was held at Abbott Girls Secondary School, Ihiala.
The Coordinator and Chief Examiner, Rev Fr. Simon Egwu, prayed for the students and encouraged them to be diligent in their pursuit of academic excellence.
The Chairman/Benefactor of JAMIE, Barr Akachukwu Maduakolam, in his speech, called on the students to always take their studies seriously as it is the only guarantee for a successful life.
Barr Maduakolam, a House of Representatives candidate for the Ihiala federal constituency, urged the students to make use of JAMIE channels in any area of their academic pursuit they may find challenging.
“We would have progressed beyond quiz, essay, and JAMB-standard test. The vision of JAMIE is to expose Ihiala students to international standards and honest exams; we must embrace technovation. Unfortunately, the security situation in Ihiala did not allow us to prepare for it this year,” the UK-trained lawyer noted.
He promised to offer technical support in terms of teaching aids and or teachers needed to help them through.
Barr Maduakolam pointed out that he did not invite people, especially his supporters, to attend the 2022 outing. He noted that it was only the participating students that were invited for fear that publicity may lead to a security breach.
JAMIE has been in existence and empowering Ihiala students since 2018.
