Operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) Anambra State Command have arrested a 37yr old female suspect for allegedly killing and burying her maid in Awka, Anambra State.
The suspect was actually arrested in Awka on Wednesday.
The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the agency, Mr. Anthony Okafor C. Ju, revealed this in a press release made available to journalists.
The thirty-seven-year-old suspect Udeogu Chinelo who is from Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoja LGA of state but married to a Nibo man in Awka South LGA, was arrested by NAPTIP operatives in a Primary School in the state capital where she had earlier enrolled the victim and had gone for a refund of the school fees she paid for the victim.
The suspect according to the release said that the victim has died while being questioned by NAPTIP operatives.
She was said to have led the operatives of NAPTIP to the scene where she disposed the decomposing body of the victim wrapped in a black nylon bag in a bush around Hezekiah Dike Crescent Awka.
The suspect however claimed that the deceased victim is her granddaughter.
The victim was reported to have died on the 29th September,2022.
The suspect has been handed over to the Police by NAPTIP Anambra State Command for further investigation on the matter.

October 7, 2022 at 9:12 pmAny punishment short of death sentence or life jail in this case will be very inappropriate. Just think of it, after murdering and burying the innocent girl, she had the gut to go for refund of the school fees paid for the girl when she was alive. Satanic woman!
