The Director General (DG) of the CLEAN movement, Chief Gozie Odimgbe, has challenged candidates in the 2023 Ihiala federal constituency election to show strength rather than throw banters on social media.
The CLEAN movement is an initiative of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) candidate for the Ihiala House of Reps Federal Constituency, Barr Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam.
Chief Odimgbe made the challenge during the inauguration of the four hundred-man committees for the YPP House of Representatives hopeful at Azia in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The DG held that the days when political actors deceived unsuspecting persons on social media were long gone and that any candidate who wants to come out victorious in the 2023 general elections must show capacity and strength.
Chief Odimgbe paid a glowing tribute to the YPP House of Representatives candidate, Barr Maduakolam, for coming up with the CLEAN movement, which he noted could transform the entire Ihiala federal constituency and constituents.
“Barr Johnmary Akachukwu Maduakolam has been empowering the students of this constituency and beyond with scholarships through the JAMIE initiative. He has been handling sensitive cases for Ndi-Ihiala on a pro-bono basis.
“He has come up with a clear cut program and agenda he intends to pursue for us when he gets to House of Representatives, he is fully prepared for the job.” He said.
The DG appealed to Ndi-Ihiala to send the UK-trained lawyer, Barr Maduakolam, to the Green Chambers of the National Assembly for a responsible and responsive representation.
The YPP House of Representatives candidate for the Ihiala federal constituency, Barr Akachukwu Maduakolam, also used the occasion of the inauguration of his 400-man campaign committee to give the 2022 JAMIE scholarships and also empower the constituents for Christmas and new year festivities.
