Anambra State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Andrew Kumapayi as well as the Assistant Corps Marshal of the Agency, Mr Ayobami Omiyale who is the Zonal Commanding Officer in charge of Benin City, who also supervises three States of Edo, Delta and Anambra recently featured on ABS Television programme Good Morning Anambra where they spoke on maintaining safety on the highways.
The Anambra State Sector Commander Mr Kumapayi said road safety is the responsibility of all as according to him everyone has a role to play in ensuring safety on the roads.
For the Assistant Corps Marshal Mr Omiyale officers and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps encounters lots of challenges while supervising the three States of Edo, Delta and Anambra including overloading ,clearing of obstructions, careless driving, disobeying traffic rules and regulations among others.
Both Messrs Kumapayi and Omiyale harped on the need for adherence to traffic rules and disclosed that they are planning on having a mobile court to try traffic offenders.
While speaking on the Ember month’s campaign they said by next Month they will inaugurate the Ember Month’s campaign and take their sensitization to churches, motor parks, markets among others and get the citizens informed on road safety measures.
They thanked Governor Willie Obiano for his support to the Federal Road Safety Corps and promised to always do their best in ensuring safety on the roads.
