Peter Obi told the Arise TV presenter who asked him whether he was detained at the airport. He said that he was neither detained nor arrested.
He said that the whole lasted not more than twenty minutes. Obi said that the officers alerted him that somebody had tampered with his identity and that it was a cautionary move to protect him.
Obi said that when the officials finished with him, they ushered him to a VIP section. He said that the officials gave him first-class treatment.
Obi urged his supporters to disregard the negative innuendos and falsehoods being disseminated by the disgruntled opposition. He denied that he had ever been a British citizen, though he had resided in the country for several years.
On the claim made by Asari Dokubo that he has evidence that Peter Obi was also a citizen of Solomon’s Island and owns a property there, Obi denied the allegation. He said that he had never been to Solomon’s Island, and he did not own a building there.
