A major crisis percolates in the Uruagu Nnewi administration: Barrister Chikodili Nwogwugwu accuses the executive of egregious corruption

A renowned lawyer and an ardent son of the Uruagu Nnewi, Barrister Chikodili Nwogwugwu decried, in the strongest term, the lack of accountability to the people by the community’s executive.
As the Secretary General of the community, he had volunteered to provide whatever logistics necessary to retrieve the community’s bank statement for all to see. “If there is nothing to hide, the quest to show the people what has gone in the account had become impossible,” he queried.
Vision Newspapers confirmed from Barrister Nwogwugu that he authored the letter in circulation bearing his address.

Nwogwugwu said, “I cannot be a party to an administration that is not accountable to the people who elected them.” He said that “there is no reason anyone serving in the exco of the community should not have an identifiable source of income.”
Nwogwogwu maintained that he would not allow his hard-earned reputation to rubbish because he had agreed to serve in an administration that could not understand the meaning of separation of powers.
He is worried that to maintain a vice grip on the community’s resources, some individuals have continued to manufacture crises upon crises to distract the people, while common wealth are depleted.

It’s only a conscientious man that bows out when the ovation is still loudest. However, in this case, Sir I most respectfully salute your courage and boldness. Your are indeed a blessing to the legal profession. Ndi be anyi si na ana adighi mma bu uru ndi nze. Let them continue until the meet their Waterloo.
