Officials and members of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation on Monday visited St. Felix Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra State, to carry out one of their core missions.
The group had visited the hospital to offer a helping hand to one of the members, Mrs Ngozi Offia, whose husband, Mr Jude Offia, was involved in a serious road accident.
The accident victim, who is from Egbu-Umuenem, Otolo-Nnewi Anambra State, had the accident on August 31st, 2023.
Rather than recording improvement in his condition, things failed to look up for Mr. Offia as it was discovered by medical personnel three weeks after the accident that he had developed complications.
Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation is known for assisting people from all walks of life. Assistance typically offered includes but is not limited to providing shelter, financial aid, and an enabling environment for individuals to excel in work and business ventures decided to pay a surprise visit to the husband of their member.
Mrs. Ngozi Offia, while welcoming the group, thanked the Foundation for the demonstration of love extended to her family.
She appreciated the members of the Foundation for their moral, financial, and spiritual support through prayers and words of encouragement.
Mr Nicholas Echezona Nsoedo (Omepuruchukwu Anedo), a philanthropist per excellence, when asked why he embarked on the hospital visitations and other interventions, said that he derives joy by putting smiles on the faces of the people.
Omepuruchukwu Anaedo pointed out that if his Foundation can assist people who are not members, it becomes imperative and incumbent on the Foundation to help a member whose husband was involved in a serious accident.
“In Omepuruchukwu Foundation, we see it as a privilege to offer a helping hand to the people in need; assisting people in need is our commission and mandate, and we derive huge satisfaction by wiping tears away from people’s faces.
“We have been doing this for some time, and with God on our side, we are not looking back. Omepuruchukwu Foundation will continue to do what we know how to do best, alleviating the suffering of the people,” he asserted.
During the visit, the Foundation presented an envelope of two hundred thousand Naira (N200,000) to Mrs Ngozi Offia.
