The sleepy town of Okija became a behive of activities on Saturday as Ukadike Kingdom Talent Foundation held the 3rd edition of her annual talent empowerment show.
The talent empowerment show which was for all government primary school pupils in the town took place at St Peter Primary School, Ubahu-Okija in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.
In his welcome address, Chief Calistus Onyekachukwu Ibeh(Ozor Ukadike Kingdom) said that he is passionate about the educational wellbeing of Okija children, noting that the annual talent empowerment show is meant to encourage and boost the morale of the children.
Chief Ibeh said that the occasion which featured singing competition, drawing and painting, science spelling bee and dance with wonderful cash prize rewards are all carefully packaged to make the school pupils discover their God given talents.
He said as a matter of fact that many adults are still groping in the dark at their old age because they never had anyone to direct them properly when they were growing up.
“For me , no amount of money is too much investment for the children of Okija to find their feet early in life. It is a commitment I have made and by God’s grace, we are not looking back.” Ozor Ukadike Kingdom.
He appreciated the 2024 planning committee headed by Ichie Monday Ngobidi(Ikemba) for their relentless efforts towards making the occasion a reality.
The Royal Father of Okija, HH, Igwe Emeka Okezie (Igwe Okaiije11) in his speech said that the Ukadike Kingdom Talent Foundation ‘s show is actually the community’s Children’s Day.
Igwe Okaije11 commended Ozor Ukadike for the annual event which according to him is setting the feet of the children on solid footing.
A-big Nwankwo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bigly Oil and Gas in his own speech also commended Ozor Ukadike for the wonderful things he is doing for Okija people.
He said that Okija is blessed with personalities who are passionately committed to the development of the community amongst which Ozo Ukadike is a chief.
A-big Nwankwo pledged financial supported the Ukadike Kingdom Talent Foundation and the nineteen participating schools.
The Chairman , CEO of Bigly Oil and Gas admonished other affluent sons and daughters of Okija to emulate the good gesture of Ozor Ukadike.
Exercise books and other writing materials were distributed to the pupils at the occasion in honour of Igwe Okaije11.
