The Traditional Ruler of Oraifite in Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State, HRH Igwe (Dr) Dan Udoji has applauded Gov Charles Soludo for giant strides since he took over rein of governance of the state.
Igwe Dan Udoji made the commendation during his post Ofala festival press which held in his palace on Thursday.
HH Igwe Dr Dan Udoji said, “The administration of Prof Charles Soludo since it came on board has introduced certain positive innovation to governance. The incumbent administration is working tirelessly on the mantra of building a prosperous and liveable Homeland.
“Prof Charles Soludo has made it imperative that he was going to use Okpoko community in Ogbaru LGA as a model for what he would occasion in Anambra State. In doing that, roads are being rehabilitated and reconstructed across the state, the menace of touts and touting are also given a fight, the 1 Youth 2 Skills initiative of the government of the day in Anambra State is commendable.
“On assumption of office, the governor employed 5000 teachers to boost teaching and learning in the schools across the state, he has commenced the employment process of additional 3000 teachers to boost the educational sector. Health Officials have been employed to man the state hospitals so that they can effectively discharge their responsibilities as primary and secondary health care providers, this is indeed a welcomed development.
“In as much as I am not here today to blow the trumpet of the administration of the day but I am of the view that if a person or a government is doing well such should be commended. I can go on and on to tell you about why I am impressed with the administration of Prof Charles Soludo but all the landmark achievements of the government of Anambra State is in public domain.”
The Oraifite highly revered monarch however implored Ndi-Anambra, home and abroad and residents alike to continue to be supportive of the administration of the day noting that all forms of distractions should be avoided.
On the State of the Nation, Igwe Dr Udoji said, “His Excellency, President Ahmed Tinubu from his body language is passionately committed to giving Nigerians good governance, I must however call on the President to put more efforts. The Vice President recently visited Oraifite, representing the Federal Goverment of Nigeria on a working visit. This is a sign that the FGN is ready to fire from all cylinders.
“The level of of hunger and starvation across the country is however unprecedented, it is my desire that the Federal Government under the watch of President Tinubu will do something urgently to ameliorate the suffering of teeming Nigerians. Closely related to the issue of poverty is the near collapsed of security apparatus across the country, I commend the security operatives who are on the front line of checkmating insecurity. Some of them have paid the supreme sacrifice in the course of doing their legitimate duties. (May their souls rest in peace.)
He appealed to Federal Government to deploy kinetic and non kinetic approach to solving the issue of insecurity in the land.
“It is also important to call attention of the Federal Government to the collapse of many Industries and companies especially in the South East. No effort will be too much to assist the industrialists bounce back to production and in the process offer employment to the youths many of whom are roaming around the streets not because they are lazy.” Igwe Dr Udoji stressed.
The Oraifite Royal Father described his people as peace loving individuals who have been contributing significantly to the development of Anambra State in particular and Nigeria in general noting that Oraifite Town can boast of having personalities who are trail blazers in almost all the fields of human endeavors.
“I commend the entire Oraifite people who have been making us proud by their ingenuity and selfless contributions to humanity. Time will not allow me to mention all of them, but I will not fail to appreciate Sir Emeka Offor, Dr Emeka Okwuosa and many others in their mould.
“We recently had the 2023 Oraifite Ofala festival which the Governor magnanimously approved. It is my pleasure to report back to the Governor that huge success was recorded at the occasion.
“I thank the Governor for being ably represented by the Majority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly (ANHA) and the Transition Committee (TC) Chairman of Ekwusigo LGA. I appreciate the Oraifite Improvement Union(OIU) Principal Stakeholders, the Royal Council, the Ofala Igwe Oraifite 2023 Planning Committee, ndi Oraifite and uncountable Guests.” He said.
Igwe Oraifite reiterated the need for Ndi-Oraifite to ensure that they pay their taxes, levies and other approved fees to support Government on her developmental strides, he however charged the government at all levels not fail to come his community with investments so as to take advantage of the outstanding Human resources and uncommon hospitality of Ndi-Oraifite.
HH Igwe Dr Dan Udoji at the occasion prayed for continual peace and progress of Oraifite, Anambra State and Nigeria.
