At the ceremony, which took place at the Oriental Hotel Victoria Island, Lagos on Saturday, 20th April 2024, the CMD, Professor Joseph Ugboaja, took time to interact with the Hon Minister of Health, and other eminent stakeholders in the health sector.

Speaking to the press at the end of the function, Professor Ugboaja emphasized that a key pillar in his strategic approach towards achieving the hospital’s Vision 2030, which is to rank among the top 3 Health Institutions in the country is to collaborate and partner with relevant stakeholders. These stakeholders include both the government and the community stakeholders. The Chief Medical Director also assured the press that he and his team will not rest on their oars until they accomplish their objective. “There is so much work to do, regardless of the accolades all and sundry have heaped on us for the record-time achievement we have recorded at the permanent site of NAUTH,” said Ugboaja.

The CMD, while thanking all the stakeholders who have been assisting the hospital in its rapid developmental effort used the opportunity to call on other stakeholders to also partner with the hospital to ensure that NAUTH becomes a Center of Excellence in Medicare.

Professor Ugboaja urged the stakeholders to pay a visit to the permanent to experience and then believe that Nigeria has a great chance not to only be a life-saving place, the economic potential is limitless.

It was only few days ago, Wednesday April 17, 2024, that the Chief Medical Director, Professor Ugboaja was in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to sign the MOU with NLNG as a part of its multi billion naira Health Intervention Project.
