Anambra governor’s wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo has announced plans to distribute hybrid seeds to about five hundred persons in the state to start up their home gardens.
Mrs Soludo said that the aim is to encourage people to adopt home gardens as a means of food sufficiency and healthy living.
She said that she would be giving out hybrid seeds every week throughout the month of July, covering five hundred households across the state and beyond.
The governor’s wife said each participant must show appreciable desire to owning a garden and must agree to adhere to our rules on purely organic cultivation methods before qualifying for the gesture.
She added that the person must be willing to send a routine visual proofs of the garden’s development stages until the harvesting period.
Mrs Soludo added that each winner would be directly contacted and have their packages sent to their locations, only within Anambra State.
The governor’s wife whose birthday comes up on July, 31, 2024, added seeing each garden doing well across all the benefiting households would give her every sense of celebration that any birthday could present.
She urged those who would be benefiting to carry out the task with dedication and excellence.
