16 indigent undergraduates get scholarships in Anambra

Dr. Mrs Chioma Awuzie Foundation, (DCAF) has concluded arrangements to offer sixteen indigent students with scholarship for their academic excellence in its 2024 Annual Scholarship Programme.

The event which holds on Friday 12 July, 2024, at the Main Auditorium of the Federal Polytechnic Oko will feature speeches from notable educational leaders, philanthropists, and community advocates.

According to a statement jointly signed by the DCAF’s BOT Chairman, Dr. Chioma Awuzie and Programme Officer, Pharm. Miracle Awuzie-Okafor, the beneficiaries were drawn from six public tertiary education institutions in the state.

It added that the scholarships were targeted at lifting the burden on families as well as providing the students opportunity to excel academically and contribute meaningfully to society.

The statement reads in part, “The DCAF Annual Scholarship Award Programme is a cornerstone initiative aimed at empowering underprivileged students by providing financial assistance to help them pursue their academic dreams.

“In alignment with Dr. Awuzie’s vision of fostering education, youth empowerment, and community development, this programme continues to be a beacon of hope for many students facing financial challenges.

“The founder of DCAF, had already expressed her enthusiasm for this year’s programme, stating that, “Education is the foundation upon which we build our future.

“Through these scholarships, we aim to lift the burden on families and give students the opportunity to excel academically and contribute meaningfully to society. It is our hope that these young minds will go on to make a significant impact in their communities and beyond.”
