Kano worst hit by #Endbadgovernance protest, says Emir Sanusi

The 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi ii, has decried the enormity of the destruction occasioned by the #EndBadGovernance# protest in Kano State.

Speaking with journalists at his palace, Friday evening, the monarch regretted that the protest has reversed the development and growth of the state by several years

He was particularly bitter at the destruction of the Nigeria Communications Commission digital office in the state, which costs billions of Naira and has a huge potential to enhance the digital skills of the youths of the state.

“What has happened is unacceptable and the people of the state should ensure that it has not repeat itself, adding that lives that were lost and properties destroyed were all for the same people of Kano” he stated.

“All the destruction perpetrated was for the entire people of Kano and it will not auger well with the state, parents, leaders at all levels, and make sure that they did not go out unto the streets in the names of anything,” he stated.

In his assessment, Kano State suffered the greatest consequences of the protest when compared to the rest of the state’s of the Federation.

He appealed to the people of the state not to allow themselves to be used to undermine the prosperity of the state while charging them to report anybody trying to cause havoc among them in their areas.

He appealed to people to return to God and cautioned them against taking laws in their hands.
