The Anambra United Coalition for Good Governance (AUCGG) Leadership and Organizers of Nnewi North Stakeholders Prayers with LP Chairmanship candidate for the forthcoming Local Government polls, Dr Uba Chidibere Nonso has appraised the immediate-past Director General of the National Inland Waterways(NIWA), Chief George Muoghalu for his decision to join LP.
Uba made this known to some Journalists at Anaedo hall, Nnewi during a Special Sensitization workshop, Stakeholders prayer which had in attendance Priests from different denominations, illustrious sons and daughters of Nnewi community, LP Stakeholders among others.
Dr. Uba. who is one of the conveners of the Event, described Chief Muoghalu who attended the Event in a representation capacity, as a man of integrity who has contributed immensely to the development of the country at large.
He revealed that he (Muoghalu) presence in LP would bring a great change adding that Muoghalu has contributed greatly to the growth of APC when he was a card- carrying member.
“Muoghalu is a good man whose love and willingness to make things better without blowing trumpet remained undiluted” Uba said.
Chidiebere Nonso reiterated that LP would take over Anambra State adding he believed in Labour Party as the best party with good candidates that would propel Anambra State to a forefront.
He advised the people of Anambra State to vote wisely especially in this forthcoming LG polls.
“When a righteous man is in power, the people rejoice but when a wicked man is in power, the people suffer. Let us vote visionary leaders who are ready to sacrifice for the betterment of the people.” Uba added.
Human Rights Activist reassured the people of Nnewi of transparency and undiluted dedication if they find him worthy of the LGA position.
“I promise that by God’s Grace in my tenure as the Chairman that I will restore security in Nnewi, construct roads, put an end to unemployment by empowering the unemployed, reduce poverty and give students scholarship” he said.
He further disclosed that his administration would be for everyone adding that he would not discriminate nor favour some parts, neglecting others.
However, Uba has been prayed for and equipped to win the Council poll.
Highlights of the event included prayers by the Catholic Bishop of Nnewi who was represented by Rev. Fr. Raphael Ezeogu; OIC Churches represented by Rev. Evang Dili Ernest; Joint Voice of Sabbath Nnewi was there in the person of Archbishop Uzuegbunam Jonathan; Rev. Sampson Nwachukwu represented the Pentecostals; Respected Preacher of Salvation – Pastor Ejimbe Edmond of Jesus The Way Ministry; even the Commissioner of Police represented from Nnewi Area Command, Etc; were among the high-profile guests who played major roles at the Anaedo Social Club of Nigeria, event.
