Nwanne Di na mba Authentic Multi-Purpose and Cooperative Society, Nnewi, Anambra State yesterday conferred recognition of honour on Chief Nicholas Echezona Nsoedo (Omepuruchukwu Anaedo) in appreciation of his support and contributions to humanity.
The award which was part of the 25th anniversary ceremony of the cooperative society took place at Obi Okpuno, Uruagu-Nnewi hall.
Dignitaries from all walks of life gathered at event to honor the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation to acknowledge his silent but salient philanthropy.
In his speech at the occasion, the Chairman of the Nwanne di na Mba ( Authentic Mult – Purpose Cooperative Society) Nze Anthony Okparaezinne, described Omepuruchukwu Anaedo as a passionate and compassionate philanthropist.
Nze Okparaezinne said that his group has been following the humanitarian activities of Omepuruchukwu Anaedo for some time noting that his passion for the less privileged and commitment is worthy of recognition and appreciation.
He urged well meaning Nigerians especially those personalities in Igboland not minding the situation of things in the country to borrow a leaf from Chief Nsoedo whose assistance to the less privileged in the society is common knowledge and unparalleled.
Nze Okparaezinne described Omepuruchukwu Anaedo as a very humble person and that he was overwhelmed with his simplicity in accepting the invitation and actually honored their invitation not minding the situation of things in the country.
Also speaking, Ever Chukwuemeka Ejiofor (Versanwa) described Chief Nsoedo as personality who has care for humanity running in his veins.
He said that Omepuruchukwu Anaedo’s uniqueness and ways of lending helping hand to families, individuals, less priveledge, widows, widowers and elderly people in the society is what that inspired all the members of Nwanne di na Mba (Authentic Mult – Purpose Cooperative Society) to give him the honour and award.
“He is in deed a great gift of our time, putting smile on the faces of the less privileged people, offsetting numerous hospital bills for people who are detained in various health facilities in Igboland and beyond, because they don’t have money to pick their bills.
“Omepuruchukwu Anaedo has led his group on prison visitation many times in the short years of existence of his foundation, giving hope to the inmates that their condition and situation is not the end of the world.
“Mr Nsoedo does not only go on prison visitations to preach to the inmates, he always gifted them with mouth watering materials including cash which are deposited officially with the officials of Correctional Centers,” he noted.
Omepuruchukwu Anaedo is not only interested in the poor and the less privileged, he is committed to ensuring that couples are living in harmony, it is an axiom that most of the frictions observable in many homes are usually caused by economic factor, but he normally step in and offered his his giant widows’ might which is always enough to give the troubled home a new beginning.
Many people are into humanitarian services because of hidden aspiration to contest for political offices, but Omepuruchukwu Anaedo’s empowerment scheme actually started long time ago when he was assisting people in the far away South Africa, where he was for sometime.
He was a father figure for many Nigerians in South Africa as he used his hard earned resources to stabilize the troubled persons including Nigerians and other nationales.
Since his return home, he has not shied away from the ‘ministry’ and vision to all intents and purposes is committed to him by the divinity.
Chief Nsoedo has been doing all that and so much more before the birth of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation.
The Foundation has helped resuscitate many ailing businesses, take care of many elderly people in the society irrespective of Creed tribe and tongue.
His Umuenem Otolo-Nnewi family compound in Anambra State is always a place of succor to the weary because of the assurance that once a needy sets eyes on Chief Nsoedo, the case is settled.
Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation’s aim is to bring like minds together in a platform that will act as a vehicle in promoting, projecting and providing help and assistance in our societies especially for less privileged.
The platform is apolitical, nonpartisan or governmental organization. It’s purely set up for charitable purposes.
