From Ifeoma Ejiofor
It was happiness galore as Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation splashed over half a million Naira on Twenty five elderly persons in the industrial town of Nnewi who are ninety years old and above.
The beneficiaries who are majorly elderly people, widows and widowers got twenty thousand Naira each from the foundation.
This time around five nonagenarians were carefully selected from the four quarters of Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA for the empowerment while two widows from Abia State, one widow from Anambra State and one each from Enugu State and lmo State were also remembered.
Two of the beneficiaries, Canon Okwu Obi and Mrs Obi who are the parents of Bishop of Nnewi Anglican Communion, Rt.Revd. Ndubuisi Chukwuka Obi were not left behind.
In his comments, Canon Okwu Obi encouraged Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation to continue doing what they have doing for long noting that there is always reward for philanthrophy.
Canon Obi also admonished the group always stand on the truth as giving to the elderly is akin to doing the work of God as he pointed out that humanity is the best away to God’s heart.
He prayed for Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation fervently for their good deeds toward mankind.
Canon Obi also prayed for abundant blessings of God on the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation, Mr Nicholas Echezona Nsoedo(Omepuruchukwu Anaedo) saying, “God will increase him, multiply him, and sudden death will never be his portion”.
Another beneficiary, Mrs Mercy Uzoma, a widow from Imo State but residents in Abubour, Nnewichi-Nnewi said that she was overwhelmed by the gift splashed on the nonagenarians and widows as well as widowers in Nnewi.
She said that her husband died six months ago and that things have been tough for her and her children, noting that the money she got from Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation would be used to buy books and other necessary things for her children.
Mrs Uzoma said that the intervention of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation was indeed a miracle for her and her family.
She also prayed for abundant blessings of God upon Mr Nsoedo and all the members of the Foundation.
Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation has indeed become a shinning light in the darkness of individualism, and a house built on a hill top that can never be hidden, the numerous humanitarian activities of the group towards mankind, not minding the current harsh economic situation in Nigeria is worthy of commendation and emulation.
As we celebrate the Founder and CEO of Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation, Mr Nicholas Echezona Nsoedo (Omepuruchukwu Anaedo) who is in the business of alleviating the suffering of the downtrodden and putting smile on their faces. He is indeed a helping hand specially created by the Almighty God.
Omepuruchukwu Anaedo is not only interested in assisting the poor and the less privileged, he is also committed to ensuring the stability and equilibrium of homes so that couples can live in harmony.
This he has been doing even when he was outside the shores of Nigeria as Nigerians in diaspora normally run to him whenever they are hard up.
The Foundation has touched many ailing businesses with her Midas touch and everything in and around those business concerns have turned to gold.
Omepuruchukwu Charity Foundation’s aim is to bring like minds together in a platform that will act as a vehicle in promoting, projecting and providing help and assistance in our societies especially for less privileged.
The platform is apolitical, nonpartisan or governmental organization. It’s purely set up for charitable purposes.
Mr Nicholas Echezona Nsoedo has a guiding philosophy that “Life is good when I am happy, but much more better when others are happy because of me, humanity is our religion.”
