The Deputy National Chairman of the Labour Party, Chief Clement Ojukwu ( Gbazuagu Nnewi) has commiserated with the family of His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. K.O.N. Orizu 111 JP CON over the passing on of his beloved wife and Matriarch of the Orizu family, Her Royal Highness, Lolo Catherine Nwazunafia Orizu JP.
Speaking to Don Peter Okoro on Thursday the 25 of October 2024 at the Igwe’s Palace during the funeral ceremony, Chief Ojukwu described the late Queen of Nnewi Kingdom as a faithful, industrious and compassionate wife and mother who lent her shoulders for the Igwe to lean on.
In his words: “She truly buttressed the aphorism that behind every successful man is a woman. Through her Community Development Projects and Cooperation Initiatives, she was able to organize and bring together all women in Nnewi, thereby building a formidable force with men, women, and children for the unity and peaceful coexistence of the people of Nnewi”.
The Deputy National Chairman of the most popular Party in Nigeria further stated that: her gracious and amiable disposition brought blessings to the Royal Household of Nnewi as longevity continue to smile at His Royal Highness Igwe Dr KON Orizu 111.
Chief Clement Ojukwu pointed out that her departure has created a huge vacuum, but her examplary deeds and attributes have filled the pains, praying that God in his infinite mercy will accept her soul in paradise.
The funeral ceremony which is ongoing has witnessed the presence of many distinguished personalities including, Chief Dr. Chika Okafor, Dr. Cletus Ibeto, Dr Innocent Chukwuma, Chief Sir Chukwudozie of Dozzy Oil and Gas, Hon. Sir Humphrey Nsofor and a host of other dignitaries from far and near. Appreciating the attendees, the Crown Prince of Nnewi Kingdom, Dr. Obi Orizu thanked all those who took out time from their busy schedule to come over and commiserate with them.
He assured them that they would also find solace in their hours of need. He then prayed for their safe journey to their respective destinations. The palace where the funeral ceremony took place was lavishly decorated. In all, it was a successful funeral ceremony that even the weather consented to, despite the fact that this was the rainy season. Not a drop of rain fell to disrupt the ceremony.
