- Extols his development strides so far

HRM Igwe Godwin Odiegwu, the traditional ruler of Abacha community Idemili North L.G.A together with the town President General, Hon. Ejike Okafor has lauded the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo on the launching of new security outfit code named “Udo ga achi” and activities of the outfit so far in the state noting that the excellent performances recorded by the security outfit so far in addressing impunities among occultic native doctors has helped in drastically reducing heinous crime like kidnappings and other violent crimes which has been constituting a menace in the state.
Giving this commendation while speaking to newsmen during the town yearly Iguaro festival popularly known in the town as elimede, held at Abacha township stadium last Sunday, Igwe Odiegwu while praying and asking God to continued blessing the town by ensuring peace, love, development etc. in the town commended Governor Soludo for his wonderful development strides in the state so far adding that the town will continue supporting him to excel further even as he appealed to him to always remember his campaign promise to the town for them to feel a sense of belonging in the state.
Speaking on the same line, Hon. Ejike Okafor the president general of the community while promising that barring unforeseen development that his administration in the town will commence the construction of the multimillion Abacha town union hall project which the town has been long yearning for this year also used the occasion to appeal to Gov. Soludo to come to the aid of the town and kickstart work on some key town roads namely abacha-abatete, abacha-nimo, abacha-umuazu, and abacha – oraukwu roads adding that the people are undergoing a lot of hardship as a result of bad conditions of these roads.
Speaking to newsmen immediately after the event, prominent citizens of the town like Chief Engr. Chinweuba Adabanya a former president general of the community, Ambassador Jeff. Uba Igwe Palace Secretary, Chief Chris Onyekwelu Akaeze Igwe, Hon. Obi Matthew, Secretary Abacha town union and deputy leader Idemili North legislature all explained the importance and the significance of the festival to the people noting that the celebration of the festival is a mark of beginning of a new year in the town which the Igwe as the head of the town pronounces during the festival.
