The Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress in Nnewi North, Comrade Onwudiwe Amueze, has submitted that the party is fully prepared for all the forthcoming elections especially that of the Governorship which comes up on the 8th of November 2025.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Don Peter Okoro recently, the young and dynamic Youth leader who is the pioneer of the National Youth Council Of Nigeria in Nnewi North stated that apart from the fact that APC is the central party in Nigeria, it is equally the strongest and biggest Party in the whole of West Africa.
In his words: “No party is as prepared as the APC in the forthcoming Governorship election in Anambra State. Before now some people were saying that it’s a Northern party or Regional party, but no one can say that again. The narrative has changed.”
On the point that the present State Government has done a lot in terms of road constructions and security, he disagreed saying: “For the past 3 years he has been there, now that his tenure is about to elapse, he began rushing to do roads and provide security. What is the meaning of that? When he knows that he has less than 1 year to remain in office, he is establishing AGUNECHEMBA. As far as this election is concerned, we have people who can beat him in his polling unit.”
On his message to his party members, he replied: “I want to thank them for their doggedness. I really appreciate the stakeholders, the party leaders the national, state and local government area leaders, and every single member of the party. Let us keep faith alive.” On the fact that after primaries, some defeated aspirants normally break away to pick tickets from other parties, he answered that such a thing will not happen this time,as according to him, “when Val Ozigbo declared for APC, we threw this question at him and he replied that he cannot decamp. I was there physically. The same question was thrown at the other aspirants, and they all said they would remain in the party. They asked which party they would go to?”
On his message to the youths, he responded: ” Let them know that are the future of the nation. They are the Leaders of today and tomorrow. They should not be distracted by what is happening around. They should learn to help the government, so that the government can also help them.”
On his general message to Anambra people, he offered: “What is needed is harmony; what is worth doing is worth doing well. Anambra State is known as the home of Billionaires, and we have our ways of doing things and we must continue to do our things decently and appropriately. Thank you.”
