All roads led to Osumenyi in Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State on Wednesday as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Mr Henry Ifejionu (Dikeanagbaraizu) of Obiofia Village Osumenyi laid his mother, Mrs Comfort Mnweremekwu Ifejionu Nwannedinamba Nee Obidum to rest.
Mr. Ifejionu described his late mother as a peace loving person, a devoted Christian and a very hard working disciplinarian who was also a kindhearted personality.
The CSO to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the November 8, Anambra State governorship election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu revealed that his mother put in a lot of effort to bring them up in the way of the Lord.
He said that this was so because their father died early in life when they were still young and their mother had to take upon herself the responsibilities of a father and mother simultaneously for the family.
The CSO to Ikukuoma who described his mother as a very jovial person said he would forever miss his mother’s jokes and conviviality he enjoyed so much earlier in life and even at maturity.
Mr Ifejionu while commenting about his boss, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu thanked the APC standard bearer for his support and care for the him and his family.
He prayed that the Almighty God will crown his efforts to become the next Executive Governor of Anambra State with success noting however that the emergence of his Principal as the governorship candidate of APC is divine.
” Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu popularly called Ikukuoma (Wind of Glory) has been in the governorship race for a very long time, time has come for God to crown my boss and make him the next Governor of Anambra State.
“I can say with all boldness and confidence that my boss , Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has solid structure on ground for a successful outing on November 8, the structure is in addition to huge support base from Ndi-Anambra home and abroad for him.
“These are the factors that were interwoven that made him win the APC governorship primary in a landslide manner, I must also point out that the APC guber primary was not only free and fair, it was the most credible governorship primary ever witnessed in Anambra State,” Mr Ifejionu asserted.
On her part, Mrs Ijeoma Ifejionu said that her mother in-law treated her and loved her like her own biological daughter noting that the deceased cared and was also playing the role of a special adviser to her.
The Dikeanagbaraizu compound in Orsumeyi which became a Mecca of sort on the account of the funeral ceremony for Mrs Comfort Mnweremekwu Ifejionu Nwannedinamba Nee Obidum witnessed many dignitaries.
The Spiritual Head of Soul Revival Outreach, Nnewi, Prophet Ikechukwu Uzukwu and other popular clerics witnessed the occasion while the political class, especially those in the fold of APC were also overwhelmingly represented.
The guests were treated to a five star reception after the late Heroine was laid to rest.
