Anambra born business mogul and philanthropist admonishes youths on essence of development of habits of truthfulness, humbleness, obedience, respect, hard work, fear of God, etc.

High chief Azubuike Ekwezor, Ide Umuawulu, an Anambra state-born business mogul and philanthropist has admonished youths to imbibe habits of obedience, humbleness, truthfulness, respect, steadfastness, and hard work in any endeavour they find themselves. He notes that these habits are attributes that would make them to succeed and excel in their chosen endeavour.


Chief Ekwezor gave this admonition to the nation’s youths while speaking as a guest speaker during a one day-seminar organized by an (NGO) Deborah Foundation in conjunction with Ide Global movement for serving NYSC members titled: “After NYSC what next?” held at Onitsha North LGA, GRA Onitsha last Thursday. High chief Ekweozor who has been consistence for the Past ten years in organizing several empowerment programmes to help the poors and indigents in the state.

He narrated several life challenges he encountered on his way before making it in life to the audience, consisting mostly of NYSC members and others. He told that before a person succeeds in life that he or she is bound to face challenges but that with faith in God coupled with truthfulness, steadfastness, honesty, hard work, as well as faith and fear of God, that the person will overcome just as he imbibed these attribute and was able to make it and became what he is today.

Said the Anambra born philanthropist:; “Truthfulness, hard work, honesty, steadfastness and my sense of purpose made me to be what I am today, Truthfulness, honesty, respect to your superior will take you to higher height, so everywhere you find yourself be truthful, humble, honest and maintain the fear of God, always think on how to help yourself, work hard and don’t be lazy, don’t be afraid to do all sort of good things to succeed, reach out and build a reputation for yourselves”


Another speaker, Chief Anthony Nworah, the Executive Mayor of Onitsha North LGA, who spoke as the guest of honour during the occasion, urged youths especially members of NYSC that they should not be daunted by challenges of life they will encounter after their national service.
The local Government boss charged them to be courageous, by believing in their abilities to make it in life, by indulging in any venture that will improve their lives and not relying solely on government to provide jobs for them. He urged them to believe in themselves to make it in life.


The Onitsha North mayor continues “Be sure to counter life challenges like emotional, financial, and mental challenges, etc, you can change the narratives of your life if you believe in yourself and explore many options that will enhance your life”.


Earlier, Mrs. Deborah Casmir, the President of Deborah Foundation, who organized the seminar in conjunction with Ide Global Movement, in an address read during the occasion, had told the crowded audience that the vision of the two organizations for the seminar was to empower the youths and restore the dignity of the African child. While noting that the two organizations believe that every young person possesses immense potentials, she stated that with right support and opportunities that they can achieve greatness. She added that the seminar was a step towards realizing that vision as well as a platform for dialogue, learning, and inspiration.


The occasion featured paper presentations and the word of encouragement for youths by different Chief Executive Officers of various companies who graced the occasion.
