The industrial town of Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State practically stood still for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 8 guber polls as he took his thank you tour to the council area.
Not even the heavy downpour could prevent the mammoth crowd from trooping to Anaedo Hall, the venue of the program.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief George Onyekaba,the Obi of Nnewi-ichi recalled that before the death of late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, the APC standard bearer promised to support him in his governorship ambition .
Obi Nnewi-ichi noted that, since Sen Ubah is no more, it is only logical for the industrial town to support Ikukuoma to reciprocate his large heartedness to the the industrious son of Anaedo, Sen Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
“Nnewi and Osumenyi are in the same geopolitical zone, we at Nnewi will surely our brother from closest community,” he said.
In his own comment, Chief Dozie Ikedife (Ikenga Nnewi) said that Ikukuoma has been a reliable and dependable associate who can be trusted with the responsibility of governing Anambra State well.
He assured the APC standard bearer that the good people of the industrial town of Nnewi will come out in their good numbers to support him because he has always been identifying with Nnewi people at the time of their needs.
Ikenga said Ikukuoma has demonstrated this several times by sticking out his neck for political office aspirants from Nnewi, noting that one good turn should definitely deserve another.
The Deputy Governorship candidate of APC, Iyom(Sen) Uche Ekwunife recalled with relish how President Ahmed Bola Tinubu handed the party ticket to her boss and herself, to go and deliver Anambra for him.
She said as a matter of fact that the Wind of Glory and the positive change Ndi-Anambra deserve can only be actualized by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu at driving seat of piloting the affairs of the state ably deputized by herself.
The APC governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu who was greeted by a loud ovation said that he was in Nnewi North LGA to thank the people of the area for their support since the journey began.
Prince Ukachukwu said that he has also come to them with a message of Renewed Hope, even as he assured them of responsible and responsive governance as Governor of Anambra State.
He however tasked the mammoth crowd to take full advantage of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Continuous Voters Registration that will soon begin in the state.
In his closing remarks, the Anambra State Organizing Secretary of APC, Hon JC Okeke applauded Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and his entourage for creating time to visit Nnewi North LGA.
He assured the APC governorship candidate of the unflinching support of the people in the area.
