APC guber candidate, Ikukuoma pays condolences visit to families of slain Ebonyi people in Ogboji

The All Progressives Congress (APC) standard bearer in the November 8 Anambra State governorship election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has paid a condolence visit to families of the ten Ebonyi people slain in Ogboji.

Prince Ukachukwu condemned what he called unwarranted killing of innocent, and lawful citizens.

The APC standard bearer made the condemnation during his visits to High Chief Dr Kay Anyacho and the families of the murdered Ebonyi people.

Ikukuoma a compassionate and a caring personality particularly sympathized with the widows and children left behind by the assassinated persons.

High Chief Anyacho pointed out that many Ebonyi people in Ogboji had been around for over forty years.

He said that they had never dreamt that such unfortunate incident will ever happen because Ebonyi have integrated perfectly Into the community.

Anyacho noted that many natives have actually become in laws to Ebonyi people who are married to them as they do almost everything in common.

Hon Linus Uhuo the President General(PG) of lzza Union Anambra State and Coordinator of all the Ebonyi people in Anambra State he was shocked to his marrow when he heard about the massacre of his people.

Hon Uhuo said that he and Ebonyi people have become dep⁵ressed, downcast and hopeless and infact confused and had to seek help from Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu whose quick response according to him was prompt.

Sir Arizechukwu Awogu one of the individuals who represented Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu commiserated with the people of Ebonyi Community living in Ogboji in Anambra State over the dastard killing by yet to be unidentified assailants.

Sir Awogu said noted that Prince Ukachukwu is compassionate humanitarian who was deeply touched by the pains of relatives of murdered persons.

He presented items like Bags of rice, vegetable oil, and cash sent by his principal to the bereaved families noting that it rather unfortunate that many of assassinated persons were the bread winners for their aggrieved families.

Awogu said as a matter of that with Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu on driving seat of Anambra State, security of Ndi-Anambra and residents alike will be uppermost in his administration.

“This is why Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu is saying that there is an urgent need to recreate and rejuvenate the security architecture of Anambra State, such that people can feel secure and safe at home, at work, market and other places.

“We are here to get the first hand information from the bereaved of the murdered persons, their widows and to ascertain how Ikukuoma can help assuage the pains of the families concerned.” Awogu stressed.

A former member of Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Tony Uche during the visit prayed for the peaceful cohabitation in Ogboji community and Ebonyi people.

He said that the APC governorship candidate extended his heartfelt condolences to the widows and children of the murdered persons.

Tony Uche expressed the optimism that government of Anambra, Ebonyi, and Nigeria will get to the root of the matter noting that the perpetrators of the callous act must not go unpunished.
