Anambra: Legacy University, Okija sends SoS to Soludo over deplorable access roads


Management of Legacy University,  Okija,  Anambra State, has made a passionate appeal for Gov. Soludo’s intervention over the deplorable conditions of access roads leading to the campus.

Pro- Chancellor of the University,  Dr Leonard Nkamebe who spoke yesterday during the 9th Matriculation Ceremony of the institution lauded Soludo for creating a conducive environment for academic learning in the state but lamented that the poor state of access roads leading to the campus has adversely affected the seamless running of the higher institution of learning.

He said the Governor’s support in improving the road leading to the campus will not only enhance their activities but also ensure safe and accessible passage for all in the area.

Dr Nkamebe disclosed that the institution boasts an impressive accreditation status of over 95% in their programmes and departments.

He also informed the excited Matriculants that the National Universities Commission ( NUC) has given approval for the commencement of new departments including Nursing,  Medical Laboratory Sciences,  Cyber Security,  Public Health Sciences,  History and International Relations, and   Software Engineering.

“These additions not only enrich our academic portfolio but also align with our commitment to producing well rounded graduates equipped for the challenges of the modern world”

“As we look to the future, I am excited to share that Legacy University is actively working towards establishing a Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. This initiative will not only enhance our academic offerings but also contribute to the healthcare sector by training the next generation of medical professionals. We believe that with the right resources and support, we can create a robust programme that meets the needs of our community and beyond “he stated.
