He noted that for selfish reasons, the leadership of the country has decided to ignore the part, revealing that it has been the reason behind the country been where it was.

“Until we decide to have much needed constitutional review, and go back to the structure of confederation, which was agreed before we even became a Republic.

“We should go back to confederation where the various regions that are richly endowed with their various natural resources, and natural capabilities are being harnessed at the regional level and then contribute to the center for protection of Nigeria as an entity” he disclosed.

Ughaerumba said the country would continue revolving where they were, until the needful is done.

While referring to United States, he said until Nigerians practice regional government, strengthen their various regions and then come to the center to agree on how to protect their territories, the country would not function well.

As a Civil servant in the Ministry of Agriculture, Anambra State Veterinary Service Department, Ughaerumba said veterinary medicine has a very large area with lots of economic importance, be it in livestock production,or public health.

He revealed that little has been done in improving the system, adding that they still believe Mr. Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo would look into it.

“But in all honesty there’s still very little been done for the improvement of Veterinary services in Anambra State. I strongly believe that animal health is important” he added.

As an association, he disclosed that they have done so many Advocacy Programs, Anti Rabies Campaigns, to control widespread of viral diseases caused by animals.

He urged the Solution Governor to establish Ministry of Animal Health and employ more veterinarians in providing animal health.

He appreciated the effort of Commissioner of Agriculture in Anambra State, Dr. Foster Ihejiofor, who according to him has been supportive in all their programs.

“Animal health should be a top priority in any responsible government. We the veterinarians support Mr Governor’s intention for a second tenure and hoping that he will pay more attention to Veterinary services” he assured.
