The Founder/ Leader of the BIM / MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has said that the Imo State Police command has invited him to appear before the Anti-Kidnapping Unit next Monday in its desperate bid to prevent him from being part of the nationwide peaceful march to Aso Rock to protest the non-release of the detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.
The police invitation, dated 16th October, 2025 and signed by the Commissioner of Police, cited an investigation into an alleged “Criminal Invasion, Forgery, and Wilful Damage.

The letter of invitation also instructed the Pro Biafra agitator to report at Kidnapping unit ( Tiger Base) located at the Shell Camp by 10am, with contact officers listed as ASP John Ebute, ASP Eze Jet, and Inspector Alice Zakari, respectively.
Speaking about the invitation by the Imo State Police Commissioner Mr Aboki Danjuma, on Friday, Chief Uwazuruike said he has no problem with police invitations.

“It is clear the police invitation was intended to prevent me from joining the planned peaceful protest on Monday 20th.I still remain firm, calm and unshaken,” he said.
Uwazuruike who has long championed non-violence as the guiding philosophy of self-determination for Biafra, further emphasised that his support for the protest as a lawyer is rooted in conscience, not conflict.
