Mr. Obiora Okoro, the democratic elected chairman of Ozomagala building materials traders association (OBMTA) Modebe Plaza, Ozomagala Street, Odoakpu, Onitsha, Onitsha South LGA has expressed happiness on the recent re-election of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo for a second term in office noting that the sweet victory is the answer to the intense prayers of members of the union before the election.
Making this known while congratulating Gov. Soludo on what he described as a well deserved victory in his office at Ozomagala Street, Odoakpu Onitsha, Okoro averred that the traders of Ozomagala were not surprised on the outcome of the election as they before the election did several fastings, prayers, vigil as well as vigorous door to door campaigns for God to give the governor victory. He added that during the election that they were able to win their ward. Ward 5 Odoakpu cast hundred percent, which remains the first such feat was achieved since the existence of the electoral ward.
Said he, “we supported Gov. Soludo because of his good works, that is why we devoted our time, energy and campaigned for him. We knew Gov. Soludo knows what he is dong and he is also capable; now what we are praying for him is for God to guide him, wisdom, strength to be able to continue his good work. I want also to thank Chief Emeka Orji, Mayor Onitsha South, who was the one who inspired us to campaign and vote for Gov. Soludo. He is a leader per excellence”.
Speaking also, Mr. Nkemakonam Izuegbu, vice chairman Ozomagala building materials traders association thanked God for making it possible for Gov. Soludo to be re-elected for a second tenure pointing out that his spectacular achievements on security maintenance has made the state one of the peaceful and safest state in Nigeria.
While noting that the entire Ozomagala traders will continue to support Gov. Soludo government by not relenting in payment of taxes and levies. He appealed to Gov. Soludo to please personally investigate their market crises and find the real problem instead of relying on his senior special adviser on markets and other key staffs in the state ministry of commerce, adding that the real traders are in unity and under one democratic body leadership.
Adding his voice, Chief Uba Benjamin, the financial secretary of the Union, also expressed thanks to God for the victory of Gov. Solud, noting his happiness that the victory is an answer to their fervent prayers.
While recalling before the election how they were campaigning shop to shop, organizing prayers, vigils etc to ensure that the governor wins, he enjoins Gov. Soludo to continue his good work and not to relent in developing the state to look like Dubai just as he appealed to him to look into his taxation initiatives and find a way to make it not to be burdensome on poor masses of the state.
