A political pressure group known as Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Grassroots Movement of Nigeria for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hailed their Principal and former Governor of Abia State Senator Orji Uzor Kalu along with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetoku for over what they described as “tangible response” from Kalu and IGP Egbetoku following security related issues in Nigeria in recent days.
The group in a press briefing through their Convener and National leader Alhaji Muritala Mohammed alias ten ten at their office in Abuja Federal Capital Territory (FCT) commended their Principal Senator Kalu who is the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District in National Assembly for taking a bold step without fear or contradiction to reveal that the teething challenges posed by insecurity in Nigeria is political and that politicians are behind terrorism, banditry and kidnaping in Nigeria.
Recall that Senator Kalu in an interview with Channels Television revealed that politicians are the ones sponsoring terrorism, banditry and kidnaping in Nigeria. The former Abia governor also made another striking revelation while reacting to the conviction of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Maxi Nnamdi Kanu with life jail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja by disclosing to Channels Television that over 30,000 people lost their lives following the agitation for Biafra by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB.
Alhaji ten ten explained that the revelations as put forward to Nigerians by “the fearless” Abia North Senator is a good news of the time to Nigerians and eye an opener which will certainly help President Ahmed BolaTinubu led administration to be in a position to give more effective response to the security challenges facing the country noting that a problem known is half solved.
He went further to describe Senator Kalu as a strong voice of the people, a national watchdog and one of the pillars of democracy in Nigeria noting that the former Abia governor has once more brought his capacity, exposure and his immense experience as a renowned businessman, an ex Governor and a serving ranking legislator to bear in service of nation building in a great and impressive manner
The group also commended the IGP Egbetoku for his quick response to the abduction of school children in Kebbi State and Niger State by making quick travel to Kebbi State and Niger State to get first hand information noting that the quick response by the IGP motivated the security agents to rise up to the occasion to rescue the abducted school children in Kebbi and Niger State respectively.
