The PG Uruagu Nnewi Quarter, Chief Innocent Okoli (Makuochukwu), has called on Barrister C.U. Okeke to comport himself orderly, because his utterances in the social media were intended to cast aspersions on Uruagu people on an issue that does not concern them.
“My duty as the President General of Uruagu is to ensure that peace reigns. And part of that effort is to ensure that anyone seeking for a cheap popularity does not exploit our openness to people to sow confusion in our mist .”
“I want to make it categorically clear that Ozobi Uruagu belongs to all Ile Uruagu people, and to the best of my knowledge, there’s no discrimination against anyone who intends to use it in a manner dignifying it,” Chief Okoli said.
He continued “All political parties exist in Uruagu and aspirants from Nnewi and other towns from time to time pay courtesy visits without molestation. But all aspirants coming there present themselves with dignity and respect our way of doing things.”
“The simple truth is that Arch Paul Ileka organized with his supporters which he sponsored to meet at Obi Uruagu. In the middle of the meeting, Barrister Okeke came and wanted to disrupt their meeting by insisting to address them. I advised Okeke that Arch Ileka sponsored the meeting and he should not be interrupted. Please summon your supporters some other time and nobody will disturb you. I pleaded with him to organize his own tomorrow.”
I was surprised to see this write up from Barr Okeke and his supporters: “Breaking : Barr CU Okeke Apga Aspirant for Anambra State House of Assembly Nnewi North, was chased out of Obi Uruagu and prevented not to speak to Apga members who convaj to receive him by the Pg Uruagu. Innocent Okoli this morning!! s it how you will conduct the primary on Saturday?
“Ordinarily, I will not have responded to this, but I do not want him to tarnish the image of Uruagu by creating a cheap propaganda against us. He will never succeed.”
Chief Okoli advised that he should face his campaign and desist from his effort to drag us to his mounting problems.
