Engineer Tochukwu “Mazi TK” Agusionu, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed deep concern over the ongoing bickering and infighting among individuals laying claim to the leadership of the NDC in Otolo Ward 1, Nnewi North, and Anambra State.
According to Mazi TK, this internal conflict has created confusion among party faithful, who are unsure of which directives to obey or which meetings to attend. He noted that such division weakens the party’s structure and distracts it from serving the people.
Mazi TK warned that if left unchecked, these developments could scupper the NDC’s chances in these areas during the upcoming general election, stressing that the party cannot afford to go into the polls fractured and uncertain.
As a respected community leader, philanthropist, and convener of the TK Force — a formidable grassroots bloc within the NDC with considerable following in Nnewi politics — Mazi TK remains committed to the growth and unity of the party. His service to Nnewi has consistently been rooted in the belief that a united people achieve more.
He has therefore called on the national leadership of the NDC to intervene swiftly in the crises, resolve the leadership disputes, reconcile all aggrieved parties, and ensure that the NDC presents a united front as it prepares for the next elections.
“The time for infighting is over. The time for unity is now,” Mazi TK said.
