The Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Indigenous Medicine and Herbal practice Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim says the present Anambra State Government will continue to create an enabling environment for those engaging in Herbal Medicine.
Speaking in an interview with the ABS in Awka Dr Ibezim maintained that the Obiano administration will continue to approve workshops’ and seminars for those in Indigenous medicine and herbal practice to garner more knowledge and experiences as part of efforts to improve in the practice.
He charged those in the Herbal Medicine to avoid acts capable of bringing the practice to ridicule.
Dr Ibezim who announced series of measures already put in place by the government to restore people’s confidence in Indigenous medicine cautioned the people against self medication.
On the first ever National Youth Day which was recently celebrated across the country, Dr Ibezim who described youths as future leaders called on the Federal Government to map out more empowerment programmes for the teeming youths in order to divert their minds from crime and restiveness.
He commended Governor Willie Obiano for his youth friendliness and called on youths to key into various programmes of the Anambra State Government to become self-reliant.
Dr Ibezim charged the people to always protect government facilities in their various areas against vandals.
