‎Soludo: Ezeajughi’s Integrity, Dexterity And Meritorious Service to Anambra Deserve State-wide Commendation

‎Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has declared that the integrity, dexterity and meritorious service of his immediate past Chief of Staff, Chief Ernest Nnaama Ezeajughi, deserve statewide commendation, describing him as a public servant who served the state with distinction.

‎Soludo spoke at a grand reception organised by Awgbu Progressive Minds in honour of Ezeajughi, an indigene of Awgbu in Orumba North Local Government Area, to celebrate his service and contributions to Anambra State.

‎The governor said Ezeajughi deserved to be celebrated because he “served and served well,” stressing that he distinguished himself through his competence, dexterity and unique capacity in the discharge of his responsibilities.

‎Soludo praised Ezeajughi for his contributions to the administration, noting that his exit was part of the process of constituting a new cabinet and creating opportunities for others to serve.

‎According to the governor, Ezeajughi “served the state gloriously” and concluded his tenure well, adding that his exceptional qualities and capacity could take him to greater heights globally while urging him to continue developing ideas capable of contributing to Anambra’s advancement.

‎Soludo commended Awgbu for honouring one of its distinguished sons while alive, describing the gesture as commendable and worthy of emulation, while also urging communities to recognize and celebrate men and women who distinguish themselves in public service.

‎Recall that Ernest Ezeajughi previously served with distinction as a Councillor and Mayor of Brent, London, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and performance, before returning to Anambra to serve as Chief of Staff to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo during his first tenure.

‎The Convener of Awgbu Progressive Minds, Mr. Emeka Owoh, described the reception as a celebration of Ezeajughi’s integrity, transparency, competence and selfless service, describing his record as worthy of recognition and celebration and added that his record offered a worthy example for younger generations and demonstrated the value of responsible public service.

‎Chief Okey Ezeibe, An Awgbu Community, Orumba North Local Government stalwart and Anambra State stakeholder and the President-General of Awgbu, Engr. Christian Okoyeudor, also commended the community for recognizing Ezeajughi’s contributions, describing the honour as a fitting celebration of a son whose service in government had brought pride to his people.

‎The Chairman of the Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association, Chief Humphrey Anuna, and Chairman of the Onitsha Main Market Association, Hon. Chijioke Michael Okpalaugo, joined other speakers in commending Ezeajughi, highlighting his accessibility, competence and positive relationship with the people.

‎Former Chief of Staff to the Governor in the Deputy Governor’s Office, Chief Ugochukwu Obiefuna, described the gathering as a demonstration of unity, appreciation and communal pride, urging other communities to emulate Awgbu by celebrating their accomplished sons and daughters.

‎The Mayor of Orumba North, Barrister Casmir Nwafor, described Ezeajughi as a worthy son whose examplery public service had brought honour to Awgbu and the local government, commending his commitment to responsible service conducted without scandal and praised his character and capacity.

‎Responding, Ezeajughi expressed profound appreciation to the people of Awgbu for the honour and thanked Governor Soludo for the opportunity to serve as Chief of Staff, saying the experience enabled him to contribute to the development of his community and state and reaffirming his readiness to continue making his experience, ideas and goodwill available in service to Anambra and beyond.
