Tragedy struck on Friday night as a helicopter transporting Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings, crashed near a border city between Nevada and California, claiming the lives of about five others on board.
Reports indicate that the chopper was en route to Las Vegas when the crash occurred in the vicinity of Nipton, California.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that the helicopter, identified as a Eurocopter EC 130, crashed with six individuals on board.
As of Saturday morning, authorities from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported that no survivors had been found.
The crash site was identified east of the 15-Freeway, near Halloran Springs Road, according to the sheriff’s department statement released following the incident.
