The winner of the last Saturday governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Andy Uba has extended the olive branch to his opponents in the election.
The final result of Anambra APC 2021 governorship primary indicated that 348,490 voters were accredited, with total valid votes of
348,490 and no invalid votes.
Option A4 was adopted in the APC governorship election primary inwhich Sen. Uba polled a total of 230,201 votes to defeat thirteen other aspirants.
In the statewide exercise, Azuka Okwuosa got 17,159 votes, Johnbosco Onunkwo polled 28,746 votes, Paul Orajiaka garnered 4,248 votes while Ben Etiaba gathered 4,244 votes, Conel Onyejegbu polled 3,414 votes, Maxwell Okoye – 2,540 votes, Chido Nwankwo 21,281 votes, George Moghalu 18,596 votes,Amobi Nwokafor 3,335 votes, Ikeobasi Mokelu 3,727 votes, Edozie Mmadụ 3,626 votes, Hygers Ifeanyi 1,466 votes and Godwin Okonkwo 5,907 votes.
The Ogun State governor, Dr. Dapo Abiodun declared the former senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone in the Senate, Dr Andy Uba as the winner of the APC governorship primary election.
Dr Uba in a press conference in his campaign office on Sunday appreciated all the APC faithful for the confidence reposed in him.
The former senator said that he is prepared to build a strong movement that will guarantee victory for APC in the November 6 governorship polls.
Sen Andy Uba also reassured Ndi Anambra that he would usher in an all inclusive governance in Anambra State noting that there are a whole lot of things that needed to be fix in the state.
The APC flag bearer bearer in the November 6 election pointed out that he would bridge the inequality gap in the administration of Anambra State.
Sen Uba however noted that the road to fix Anambra State is not going to be an easy way to travel but added quickly that with the support of the APC faithful and indeed Ndi Anambra, he would give the state a five star governance everyone would be proud of.
