A leading support group for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 8, Anambra State governorship election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, SOFIG has celebrated sixth year anniversary.

The anniversary of SOFIG which held at Women Development Center, Awka, attracted the All Progressives Congress bigwigs, captains of industries and business moguls from far and near.

In his speech at the occasion, the National President of SOFIG, Dr Kingsley Ezekwelu (Esq) said that the group was formed to restore faith in governance which he said must be anchored on responsibility and responsiveness on the part of duty bearers.

He said that the group has the ambition to be a leading political pressure group committed to promoting unity, responsible leadership and good governance for the advancement of Anambra State

The mission statement of SOFIG according to Dr Ezekwelu is to foster environment where government anchored on the principals of unity and respect for diversity through strategic engagement, advocacy and support for visionary leaders to thrive.

He said as a matter of fact that the group has integrity, unity in diversity, justice, fairness and accountability as her core value.

Dr Ezekwelu noted that the group has more than thirty five active members who are fully committed to see wind of glory blowing over Anambra State.

He appreciated the members and officials of SOFIG for their immeasurable contributions towards making the group a brand that stands out in the political arena.

Dr Ezekwelu expressed the preparedness of the group to take the governorship candidate of APC, Ikukuoma to every family in Anambra State.

The Chairman of the occasion, Chief Dr Mike Ejiogu Duru who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of City Gate, Abuja commended the SOFIG for standing out to be counted in the November 8 guber polls.

He described the APC governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu as a man that has the capacity to take Anambra State to her land of glory.

In her speech, the Deputy Governorship candidate of APC, Iyom Sen Uche Ekwunife commended the group for her steadfastness in creating a unique political environment in Anambra State.

She paid a glowing tribute to her principal, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu who she described as passionate personality who is committed to a better Anambra.

Iyom Ekwunife who said that the will of God shall surely be done in November 8 polls noted that Ikukuoma, a very hard working individual has contributed in no small measure to the political growth of many people in the State.

Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu popularly called Ikukuoma.while speaking at the occasion expressed his preparedness to run a responsible and responsive administration as governor of the State.

He said as a matter of fact giving the state a good governance is not all about speaking big grammar and presenting non.functional economic theories.

Ikukuoma said that his administration would not relegate the welfare of Ndi-Anambra to the background while building infrastructural facilities that would ensure the test of time.

“The will of God share be done, it doesn’t matter if there is incumbent power, the ultimate power belongs to God, I have seen reformers among the attendees, you don’t have to speak good English before you become a commissioner.under our watch, what is important is what you are bringing to the table,” he said

Ikukuoma commended SOFIG for her unflinching support for him noting that he is ready to support the group and all the people working with him.

He appealed to the support group and all other groups that believe in his capacity to turn things around for the betterment of Anambra and Ndi-Anambra to take the message of Wind of Glory to the kindred, families, wards, villages and towns across the length and breadth of the State.
