A former Anambra State governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Rommy Okoli, on Sunday celebrated his 60th birthday.
The celebrant during a surprise birthday party put together for him by his children said that he wished Nigerians especially youths will punish the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the atrocities they have jointly committed against the nation.
Chief Okoli, at the occasion, thanked God for the grace and privilege of making it to sixty at a time when life expectancy in Nigeria is less than forty.
He said, “My 60th birthday message is that I want the youths to punish the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for destroying their future and plundering our common patrimony in 2023 presidential, National, and State Assembly Elections”.
Chief Okoli said, as a matter of fact, that the youths have a significant and strategic role to play in the next general elections to reclaim the nation from the hands of persons who do not mean well to them.
The former Anambra State governorship aspirant said, “The time is now. His Excellency Peter Obi and Senator Yusuff Datti Ahmed will rescue and rebuild Nigeria from its economic, security, nepotism, and visionless despotic regimes of APC and PDP.
“I urge the youths to take back their country and punish APC, and its twin brother PDP with their votes. We have suffered enough in Nigeria, so I plead with the Almighty God to please be merciful, forgive our sins and grant us freedom from our oppressors.
“The problems, trouble, and hardship we face daily in Nigeria are unbearable. May God arise and come to our rescue for the benefit of our future and humanity.”
Chief Okoli, a former chairman of Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, prayed for a united and prosperous nation where good governance, the rule of law, fairness, and equity will engender development, peace, love, and economic emancipation of the citizens.
