Ahead the November 8, Anambra State governorship election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised the alarm over what it called plans by the incumbent governor, Prof Charles Soludo to rig the polls.

The allegation was contained in a press statement from Ukachukwu-Ekwunife Diectorate of Media and Strategic Communications, made available to journalists on Sunday.
“Information reaching us reveals that Governor Soludo is booking and blocking all the hotel rooms across Anambra State from November 4 to November 9.The rooms are for the purpose of harboring “Government guests”)- hoodlums, fake INEC officers, and fake security agents to be used to rig the upcoming November 8 Governorship election.

“Over N10.2billion of Anambra people’s fund has been set aside for this dastard purpose.
“We are hereby calling on the Inspector General of Police,Director DSS and other relevant security agencies to ensure that the Soludo’s Government does not continue to subvert democracy with infiltration of the State with criminals and political thugs that could mar the electoral process.
“Hoteliers are also hereby warned to desist from harbouring questionable characters in their hotels or be ready to face the consequences.”
Meanwhile, a letter purported to have been authored by one Joy JU from the office the Secretary to State Government(SSG) dated 18th September instructing an hotelier to make reservations for Government guests between September 4th to 9th September was attached to the press statement.
