As the November 8, Anambra State governorship election draws nearer, the candidature of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate on Saturday got a boost as he was gifted with two brand new Sienna LE mini buses.
It was excitement and expression of commitments galore as Osumenyi Elites presented the two vehicles to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu in his residence.
Osumenyi Elites was led by Chief Frank Umeh who made the donation amidst applause.
In his speech, Chief Umeh said that the people of Osumenyi are hundred percent in support of Prince Ukachukwu as he aspires to be become the next governor of Anambra State.
He said that the two buses donated to Ikukuoma is the first phase of their massive support for the Wind of Glory exponent.
“Ikukuoma is our brother, we are fully committed to the actualization of his aspiration to become the next governor of Anambra State.
“All the members of Osumenyi Elites contributed one million Naira each to purchase the two vehicles which would aid his mobilizations and campaigns,
“We decided to support our own brother with this gesture because he has no political godfather, though he is godfather to many aspiring political office holders,” the leader of Osumenyi Elites observed.
A member of the group increased the tempo when he offered a whooping five million Naira for the fueling of the donated vehicles.
“All the markets in Lagos are in full support of Ikukuoma and transferring their voters card, back home so that they can perform their civic responsibility of participating in the November 8 polls and of course vote for Ikukuoma,” he said.
Not ready to be left out of action, Ikemba Front comprising majorly of Sen Ifeanyi Ubah’s political dynasty ably led by Mr Michael Tochukwu Okafor and other groups made mouth watering donations to the APC governorship candidate.
Prince Elias Ukachukwu while commenting on the gestures appreciated Osumenyi Elites and other groups for their unflinching support for his brother.
He appealed to all and sundry to take the good news of Wind of Glory to their respective polling units and wards noting that it’s time to standout with a thoroughly good candidate and be counted.
Prince Elias Ukachukwu pointed out that with his brother in the saddle of leadership as the Governor of Anambra State, many developmental strides would be witnessed by Osumenyi and her people.
“Commencement of work on a Flyover at Osumenyi market would begin a day after inauguration. Many other developmental material would be taken to Osumenyi as done in advanced climes.
“My appeal to all the members of Osumenyi Elites and the good people of Anambra State is to mobilize other groups and individuals to join the Wind of Glory train.
“I want everyone to go to their polling units and deliver Ikukuoma who is widely accepted by Anambra people as the best man for the governorship position come November 8.Since Ikukuoma is in the governorship race, the entire people of Osumenyi are in the race with him,” he asserted.
The APC standard bearer, Prince Ukachukwu in his brief comments expressed surprise over the presentations noting that he was fascinated by the unity of purpose by the donors.
Ikukuoma at the occasion unveiled his big plans for his community which according to him must be actualized by the special grace of God. He also reechoed his preparedness to set up a University of Medical Sciences in his home town of Osumenyi in Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State.
