From Ijeoma John, Nnewi
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate for the November 8 election, Chief John Chuma Nwosu, has assured Anambra people that his administration would prioritize e-governance and transparency if elected.
Speaking in Nnewi on Wednesday, Chief Nwosu, who described himself as an expert in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), pledged to run a fully digitalized administration that would promote efficiency in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social welfare.
He emphasized that his government would be anchored on character, courage, discipline, integrity, justice, equity, and fairness.

Chief Nwosu criticized Governor Charles Soludo’s administration for what he described as poor performance in security, social welfare, and economic management, claiming that the state’s economy had declined by 50 percent and that residents were being overtaxed without visible dividends of democracy.
“With your support, what happened during the August 16 by-election in Anambra South Senatorial district won’t repeat itself. ADC will win this election. Let’s mobilize our friends and relatives to vote massively for ADC so that Anambra can experience true change,” he said.
He appealed to Nnewi indigenes to support his candidacy, adding that no one could understand and develop Nnewi better than an Nnewi son.
“If we miss this opportunity, it may take another 20 years before Nnewi produces another governorship candidate. I have successfully managed human and material resources both in Nigeria and Liberia. Under my administration, Nnewi and the entire state will prosper,” he added.
Chief Nwosu promised to construct all roads in Nnewi, reduce the tax burden on residents, and create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
“I’m bringing e-governance to Anambra because I am an ICT man. I seek your massive support, we are going to win,” he concluded.
The Director General of his Campaign Council, Barr. Ben Chuks Nwosu, urged ADC supporters to remain vigilant on election day and ensure that their votes count. He advised them not to leave polling units immediately after voting to prevent electoral malpractice.
The campaign rally at Anaedo Hall, Nnewi, was filled with excitement as supporters sang and danced in solidarity with Chief Nwosu and his team.
