Authorities of Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State have named a street after the State’s Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Adeoye(CP).
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, Tochukwu Ikenga(DSP), in a statement said the gesture was a reward to the commissioner for the improved security in the state.
He said the street named after the CP is located in the heart of the capital territory, with the approval from the Awka South Local Government authorities.
Adeoye who had been honoured with several awards from groups for his gallantry, and ability to stem crime in the state, would be retiring sometime in June
